Sustainable employability plays an important role at Quoratio. There is a cultural norm that you have to keep developing yourself and there is a lot of attention for vitality. Patty van Ravenswaay, Learning & Development manager at Quoratio explains how SkillsTown's online learning platform supports this.

Quoratio Campus

Quoratio focuses on secondment, recruitment & selection and outsourcing in the administrative sector. Their professionals not only provide a helping hand, but also think strategically about the efficient design of administrative processes. This requires not only up-to-date professional knowledge, but also the development of personal skills. For the latter, Quoratio uses the SkillsTown platform, under the name Quoratio Campus.

Everyone has a development path

The platform is part of the development path professionals go through at Quoratio. When you start at Quoratio, you start in a certain position. This involves a number of competencies that you have to develop in order to move on. You can do this through the modules in the Quoratio Campus. In addition, you choose additional modules yourself. In this way, professionals continue to develop constantly.

The theme of 'Lifelong Learning' is central at Quoratio. The ambitions of the professional are already discussed during the job interview. This was also one of the reasons for setting up the online learning environment. Patty explains: "We promise our professionals that they will get the opportunity to develop themselves and of course we have to be able to facilitate that. With this, we do offer you the opportunity, but you have to take control yourself."

Vitality is central

Within the Quoratio Campus, sustainable employability and vitality are important themes. Patty says, "One of the reasons we chose SkillsTown was the great offer in the field of vitality development, skills development and work happiness. It is important to us that our employees feel good about themselves. Also, the campus allows for more bonding with the company. That is often difficult in secondment, because many professionals are with a client."

Vitality plays a role not only in the content. It was also the common thread in the launch of the academy. Patty explains, "We wanted to create the image that all of our professionals are running their own race. At the campus launch, everyone was sent a packet with a race number, a water bottle and an explanatory letter. We also organized a meeting in which we literally gave a starting shot, at which the colleagues started running. We also made a video of this which we distributed to the professionals who could not attend."

Learning lines as support

To support the professionals in the learning process, Quoratio uses learning lines. These learning lines are created by Quoratio and SkillsTown and provide guidance to the professionals. For example, there is an "onboarding" learning line that covers all the necessary information for new employees. The learning line consists of essentials (micro-courses) with employee videos. Patty says, "We had a bootcamp at SkillsTown to learn how to make these videos. We shot four videos in SkillsTown's studio and then we started working on them ourselves. By having our own employees play a role in the academy, you notice they get more involved."

In addition, there is a learning line of must-do's. This contains modules that Quoratio believes every employee should have taken. One example is the module Dutch flawless writing, which has even created a real competition. Patty explains, "there is a battle going on about who gets the highest grade on this module. We think that's great, because it means that the campus is alive and well among the employees.

Each professional also gets access to a specific learning line linked to his or her position. The modules are chosen so that professionals can immediately apply the knowledge in their work. There are many enthusiastic responses to this. "In the beginning it was a lot of work to create a separate learning line for each function," says Patty. "But it does give professionals the feeling that they are getting individual attention and that the campus is set up specifically to meet your specific needs. We think that's well worth the extra work."

Always make a conscious choice

Finally, Patty would like to share a tip with other organizations that are about to start with online learning: "Always make a conscious choice. We consciously chose SkillsTown because the offerings appealed to us tremendously. Once you've chosen, make the most of all the options they offer. I really took the time to go through everything carefully and decide which options were important to us."
