Successful action lets county employees learn online

A successful campaign with vouchers for an online learning subscription has given 350 provincial employees access to hundreds of online learning solutions for a year. In cooperation with SkillsTown, the A&O Fund for Provinces distributed 350 vouchers that allow provincial employees to use the Skills2Perform subscription for a year.
SkillsTown is proud of a collaboration like this. Hans Schuurmans, CEO SkillsTown, says, "With projects like this we make online learning even more accessible. It does SkillsTown good that an action like this is received so positively by the provinces."
County employees could register online for this promotion. Initially, 250 vouchers were offered. These were all given up within two days. Due to the great success, it was decided to hand out another 100 vouchers. On Feb. 12 at 10:00 a.m. registration began. These vouchers were distributed within half an hour.
Hedwig Oppenheim, project and communications officer at the A&O Fund for Provinces, is pleased that the promotion was such a great success: "We did expect the promotion to be popular, as our e-learning offerings have been in demand for years. But that the vouchers were sold out so quickly was a nice surprise."
Peter Smits, director of the A&O Fund and creator of the campaign, explains why the interest is so great: "It's a fantastic package of courses and it's easily accessible. You can take the course you want at any time and any place. For county employees, this was a unique opportunity to get access to a great range of courses that will allow them to work on their personal development. And the employees who didn't manage to get a voucher? They don't have to sit still. They can take advantage of our standard e-learning offerings."
