Reiswerk and SkillsTown launch Travel College

On October 4, 2018, Reiswerk and SkillsTown launch Travel College, a free online learning platform for employees in the travel industry. Reiswerk Foundation is the R&D fund (Training and Development Fund) for the travel industry. Among other things, they ensure that the supply of employees in the travel industry, and the level of their knowledge and skills, is maintained. The creation of an online learning platform therefore fits well with this.

All employers and employees in the Dutch travel industry can use Travel College. They can register and take advantage of the offer through travelcollege.nl. Here they will find a very diverse range of learning solutions, consisting of e-learning modules, webinars and essentials (micro-courses that explain the essentials of a particular topic within a few minutes).

From its launch on Oct. 4, 2018, Travel College will be continuously evolving. The focus at launch will be on developing soft skills. These include topics such as communication, language skills, positive psychology, time management and other personal skills training. The development of soft skills is essential in keeping employees sustainably employable and improving cooperation within teams. Soft skills are the key to building relationships and a network, and indirectly contribute to better team performance.

The learning platform is completely online. This is very practical, because you can learn online whenever and wherever you want. So you can learn more about a specific topic quickly and efficiently.
