New training offerings for government thanks to surprising collaboration

This year, employees in the government and non-profit sector will get an innovative and challenging training offer thanks to the collaboration between online training provider SkillsTown and training institute Segment. These two parties, accredited by Cedeo, will collaborate on the development of online training materials for municipal employees in the areas of WNRA, governance, concern, service delivery, physical domain, social domain and knowledge & skills.

Why this collaboration?

In the government and municipal landscape, employees face major changes on a daily basis. It is therefore a challenge to keep knowledge up-to-date. Sudden task shifts, decentralizations and changes in legislation are topics that employees have to deal with on a daily basis. That is why Segment and SkillsTown have joined forces to develop quality training courses that are accessible, clear and provide essential knowledge. Nico van Dijk, director of Segment:

What kind of trainings?

The trainings are aimed at employees within municipalities who want to keep their professional knowledge up-to-date. Topics covered include WNRA, civil affairs, dealing with aggression and basic knowledge for municipal officials. With the online tools, employees can work on their municipal skills whenever and wherever it is convenient for them.
