Netherlands strikes massive learning

All of the Netherlands is digitally "on" these days. We app, Skype, zoom and share a lot. And that's not surprising, because all the activities we used to do physically are being replaced with an appropriate digital variant. For example, we are simply doing our workout in the living room, playing games on our phones and staying in touch with family members via FaceTime. But in addition to all these social activities, Holland also finds it important to give some extra attention to personal development. Because the use of online training at online training provider SkillsTown increased by a whopping 200% in the past month.
Increase in use
As an online training provider, SkillsTown sees employees in the Netherlands working on their personal development on a daily basis, but during these months there is an extra focus on it. "We see a huge increase in the use of our online learning platform and the training courses available in the learning platform. People have extra time and like to use it to work on their personal development," said Lisan van der Lee, implementation consultant at SkillsTown.
In addition to the employee choosing to take online training on his or her own, many organizations are also giving it extra encouragement. Many employees are sitting at home unable to perform their normal work. Employers find this a good time to give extra motivation to take online training.

The trainings Covid-19 and coronavirus, communicating effectively, working in teams, digital security and writing Dutch flawlessly are currently the most taken.
Lisan explains: "Many organizations ask us for help in recommending training during this period. We have created several learning lines from SkillsTown that respond to the current situation. In addition, you see that users are looking for training courses that help them work remotely and safely. There are already more than 500 online training courses in our platform that cover such topics, among others.
