Tip 1: Be kind to yourself
There is a little voice in your head that treats you worse than how you treat other people. Therefore, try to judge yourself as you would others. Everyone makes mistakes and we grow through them. Acknowledge your weaknesses, but don't let them hinder you.
Tip 2: Grab mindfulness moments
It is important to take small moments for yourself throughout the day. This does not mean taking a break and grabbing your phone. Instead, sit still in your chair for a moment and relax your body. Become aware of how your feet feel. Or take a walk to the window and look at the sky.

Tip 3: Write it off your chest
Sometimes your head overflows with thoughts that cause stress. One way to gain more insight into these and release them more easily is to write them down. This can be very liberating and this can help give you a different understanding about the thoughts you are having.
Tip 4: Do breathing exercises
Take a moment each day for yourself and without for a moment. Close your eyes and focus on your breathing. If your mind wanders from this, this is not a bad thing. Instead, acknowledge this and make sure you bring your attention back to your breathing in those moments. This is how you take control of your thoughts.
Tip 5: Keep in touch with the people around you
If for a while you are not able to think clearly and take control of your thoughts, people close to you may be able to help. Talk to loved ones you trust and who have your best interests at heart. They can help you put things into perspective and help you look at things differently.
