Humanitas receives Skills2Perform Award for quality improvement care

On December 20, SkillsTown presented the Skills2Perform award for the third time. This time, Humanitas Foundation was the lucky winner of this prestigious award. Humanitas has realized a huge improvement in the quality of care in recent years, through the effective use of online learning modules. The award was presented by Prof. Kasper Boon (SkillsTown) and Frank Braaksma (Calibris Advies). Gijsbert van Herk (Director Humanitas) and Simon Koning (Head HR Humanitas) accepted the award.
About the award
The Skills2Perform Award is an initiative of online training provider SkillsTown and is presented to organizations, individuals and projects that are committed to making learning and development work within organizations. Previous winners of the Skills2Perform award are Belastingdienst and A&O Provincies. Hans Schuurmans, CEO of SkillsTown explains, "As SkillsTown we want to help organizations to perform better. When we see an organization leading the way in this, we don't want it to go unnoticed. We hope this award is an incentive for organizations to actively further support lifelong learning."
Kasper Boon, presenter of the award, took the audience through the development of Humanitas and explained why precisely they were the ones to receive the award: "Humanitas is constantly developing itself. We therefore want to compliment them for working with modern technologies such as online learning." Frank Braaksma, strategic cooperation partner of SkillsTown and Humanitas, added: "When Hans Schuurmans suggested presenting the Skills2Perform Award to Humantas, I immediately agreed with him. At Humanitas, 1,700 employees have taken more than 42,000 online modules in 3 years. This is a unique achievement."
Quality improvement by Humanitas
Humanitas is one of the healthcare organizations at the forefront of employee training and development. Among other things, through online learning solutions, they help their employees get the best out of themselves every day. For example, together with SkillsTown, they have created a series of essentials (short micro-courses) to support their staff directly in the workplace with essential knowledge.
Gijsbert van Herk, who accepted the award on behalf of Humanitas, was pleasantly surprised. He commented, "We are very proud of this achievement we have achieved with the organization. We have invested a lot in the academy with the important goal of retaining the knowledge we have within the organization. You cannot do that alone, which is why we are very happy with the golden triangle we have built with Calibris Advies and SkillsTown." Simon Koning complemented this by thanking the employees who have implemented online learning in the organization.
